Visas
For many countries outside of Europe, it is necessary for the student to apply for an entry visa to Switzerland. This procedure may take up to 8 weeks.
Entertainment
Although the study program is intensive, there is also time to enjoy the wealth of leisure activities that Switzerland offers. The school arranges many sports, recreational and sightseeing activities for students. Many European countries are within easy reach for weekend excursions.

International Qualifications from three Countries
SHMS has a wide range of programs to suit most students’ needs. Whether you are looking for a short term diploma program (2 years) or a study up to degree or masters level (3 to 4 years), SHMS offers the program to meet your needs. Courses specially designed for mature students, such as postgraduate studies and professional development programs, are also available. The degree and masters programs are offered in co-operation with the University of Derby (UK). This guarantees that the highest standards are maintained and confers international accreditation to the courses. Students who undertake the Degree program at SHMS will have the chance to graduate with three internationally recognised qualifications:
-Swiss Higher Diploma in International Hotel Management
-AH&LA American Diploma in Hospitality Management
-British BA (Honors) Degree in Hospitality Management (+electives)

3. Double Qualification
IHTTI students graduate with two highly recognised qualifications: The Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel Management and the British BA (Hons) Degree in International Hospitality or/and Tourism Management. The BA Degree is awarded by the Bournemouth University, one of UK’s top vocational universities.
4. International Recognition and Accreditation
• IHTTI diplomas are recognised by 15 member states (cantons) of Switzerland including the Canton de Neuchâtel.
• The 3 year BA Degree programs are accredited by Bournemouth University (UK).
